The Kanchenjunga region was forbidden to the trekkers before; The door to this region was opened in 1988. This mountain is situated on the border of Nepal and Darjeeling Sikkim, The State of India. So, Politically it is not possible to take a circuit of this mountain. It is suggested to visit the north and south side of the mountain from Nepal side, but should be equipped for a high crossing and requires enough time, i.e. 3 to 4 weeks.
